In 2013, four experts in the fields of marketing and textiles came together with the express intent to bring back denim manufacture to Germany. With a recognition of the strengths of German manufacturing these four friends saw the possibility to create a brand with a completely open and transparent manufacturing process. One in which they would be happy to throw open the doors of their factory and show their customers where and how their jeans were being produced. Blaumann further this notion by sourcing as many of the materials for their jeans within their native Germany. The yarns, button and leather patch are all sourced as locally as possible and go into making an impressive pair of denim jeans. Jeans that the four blue men hope to make a dent in the 100 million pairs of jeans imported to Germany annually and are mostly made under pretty dubious conditions.
